Commented Issue: Look Up (Query Based Filtering) is not working for cross sites [18408]

When i am in the subsite and tried to access the home site lists ,after selecting the list Name in the dropdown the following error is populated in the site URL "Cannot complete this action.Please try again."It works fine when we are in the same site.

Can't we use the query look up for cross sites .let me know whether it is possible or not .

Hi,
I am having Employee Contact Information List.In that i have to capture Permanent address and temporary address. For Permanent address i have used one Parent Dropdown list to load State and one Child Dropdown list to load city based on state. Same i have to do for temporary address. If i use the another Parent and child dropdown list its not loading.
Can anyone provide me a solution?

I have also the same problem and looked at ULS log it is giving below error:
"Exception Type: System.Web.HttpException Exception Message: Cannot have multiple items selected
in a DropDownList."

Any help really appreciate

I get the following error when I try to install this, any ideas? Do this strictly require MOSS 2007, or just WSS 3 (the checklist at the beginning of the setup is all green as far requirements)?

I had the same, got around it by going to Solution Management in Central Admin and deploying myself.

I get the same error on MOSS 2007. I also have Central Admin killed. Fortunately it's a VM & fixing was as simple as reverting my snapshot.

Created Issue: Parent / Child Fields Suddenly Not Working

I have been using the Parent / Child Drop Down field type for almost a year. Suddenly they don't work. I can create the column, but when I try to open a new list item, I get either an "Unknown Error Occurred" or "Field was not defined properly" errors. No errors in the event logs on any of the servers, and nothing has changed on any of the servers that I know. Anyone have any ideas? Microsoft's suggested fix was to remove the solution and try to reinstall it.

I have seen similar issue none of the custom controls- Datacogs dropdownlist or Sharepoint Query based lookup fields controls work when muliple instances of the control are added to same list.
Any solution on this will be appreciated???
