Just wanted to say that I think this project looks great, really easy to install / uninstall - also the source files are really easy to unserstand!

I'm going to try to add the functionality to have multiple child controls, to support something like:

Just thought I'd drop in an update to say that I managed to get this working using a solution originally posted by  Patrick Clarke on his 12thwave blog:

Thanks Pat!!

Thanks for posting your code,  this is exactly what I am trying to accomplish.  However,  I am havin difficulty deploying it with the install .bat...I get an error message:

C:\Users\Public\Software Library\Stoneshare\Stoneshare.CascadingDropDown\Solutio
n>"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN\s
tsadm.exe" -o deploysolution -immediate -allowGacDeployment -name CascadingDropD
own.wsp -url
http://localhost -force

This solution contains no resources scoped for a Web application and cannot be d
eployed to a particular Web application.

I have tried to reopen the solution and re-establish the references,  but I seem to be missing something fundamental.  Also,  I am using VS 2008.

As I always seem to do immediatly after I ask for help,  I solved it.  In your install.bat,  I removed the stsadm -url switch from the last command.

Hi, I tried to deploy using installsolution.bat and got some errors:
  MakeCAB aborted:  1 error encountered
The wsp file couldn't be found.  I searched it manually and didn't find it in the unzipped download either.

Any ideas?

Hi Susan,

The 'Solution' folder should contain the CascadingDropDown.wsp and Install.bat - can you locate both of these files?

Matt, thanks for the reply. I did a search and the only wsp that came with the download is AGTech.Sharepoint.CustomFields.wsp in another folder.  I also don't see it when I try to browse the sourcecode tab for all the downloads on the website.

I see InstallSolution.bat under DeploymentFiles but there's no wsp there.

I appreciate your help!
